yes he was one of the many great entertainers. He started a new Gunghaggisfatchoy tradition. He played Black Bear on his pipes and in the place where you do the primal scream insert the chant Gung Haggis Fat Choy.
Now that I would like to hear!
I must admit taking a perverse sense of glee whenever the band strikes up The Black Bear for the simple reason that I get to "yelp".
A bit of trivia: "The Black Bear" was traditionally played when the squaddies were returning to barracks, hence the yelp -- similar to some of the Connaught Rangers (The Devil's Own) giving a "Connaught Yell" (YO!) at a particular point in the tune "Killaloe".
You can hear "Killaloe" and the Connaught Yell here:
http://royalirishrangers.co.uk/
We’re the Irish Rangers,
The boys who fear no danger,
We’re the boys from paddy’s land
YO!
Shut up you buggers and fight
Sorry for the OT drift there...
Regards,
Todd
