    I was just trying it on. It was 1) quite spendy, and 2) the wrong size. I've had on my list the "swordsman" doublet from them for quite a while, however.

    I don't know what "pricey" is for you, but I know that SportKilt has swordsman's vests for something like $90.

    At the Houston Rodeo BBQ Cookoff

    Here's a couple pics Mrs.Zardoz took at the Houston Rodeo Cookoff this weekend. Our rodeo and related events are a really huge deal every year, Houstonians who would never be caught dead in boots and jeans the other 49 weeks of the year really turn out for it . I personally avoid it like the plage, but my wife is quite involved. This year a couple of scotch distillers had some kind promotions there, and encoraged folks to come in Scottish national dress, so...

    Do, play your pipes for good tips! (a lad from our world champ St.Thomas highschool band)

    Then we have this;

    Order of the Dandelion, The Houston Area Kilt Society, Bald Rabble in Kilts, Kilted Texas Rabble Rousers, The Flatcap Confederation, Kilted Playtron Group.

    The top one I like.

    In the bottom pic, the guy on the right seems ok, if he would change to a more casual belt and sporran, and loose the hose and cowboy boots.

    The guy on the left… loose the pants-with-kilt look.

    Good grief!

    If you aren't brave enough to wear a kilt without something under it at least wear shorts and not jeans!!

    Do wear your kilt when you're retiring with style! (Note the limo's done up as police car.)

    Retiring Bethlehem [Pennsylvania] police officers Mario Anfiteatro (left) and Scott Parry get out of a limousine in front of the city's police station. (Douglas Kilpatrick, Allentown Morning Call / March 3, 2008)
    Best regards,

    Jake
