Ok, after seeing a kilt pleated to stripe the other day, I think I prefer "pleated to sett" the best! I'm looking forward to seeing your pics after you make your choice Jason!

I do love the Isle of Skye it has got to be one of the neatest tartans ever. Great choice.

Wharever you decide, after careful thought,I am sure will be right.Might I suggest that you go for 16oz cloth though.Not a lot more expensive,the kilt will last for ever(ish),and for the short term(the next 20 years)the kilt will hang so much better.

Gibson . . . I think your choice is great. Just a thought. The Fitzgibbon tartan was registered last year. The intent was that it could be worn by any of the Fitzgibbon, Gibbon, Gibson, Gibb family of names. It is special weave, but would have a name connection.
