Nice creative job - a silk purse from a sow's ear perhaps?

Good work on your new sporran.

Is the kilt you arer wearing in the "finished product" pic in tweed ? If so does it have a name - I like it.

It is indeed a tweed kilt.
I got it at a local kilt shop. It was one of the last few tweed kilts made by John Morrison's mill before they were bought over by the Infamous Gold bros.
You can still get these kilts albeit a little lighter and with less yardage from Heritage of Scotland (The Gold bros store) for about 30 GBP.

Nice job Arlen, that's a great looking sporran.

You now have an "Arlen's Designer Sporran", no else has one like it.

Great job. I like when people take ordinary objects and make art from them.
    Wear in good health Arlen!

Very nice job, Arlen! And in a short time too. I like that magnet idea.... That makes for a very easy-open sporran, I would guess?

    Nice job
It always feels good to rework something and make it your own.
