I voted USN, but as a Devil Doc, who incidently switched to the Marine Corps uniform standards, I wonder if it counts as two? I know I'm not an offically enlisted Marine, but I really loved the fact that I served as a Corpsman FMF in that capacity.

US Army 25B Computer Geek, tried to switch jobs five times!
1985-1988 Army Reserves, Santa Ana Ca.

I almost joined the Marine Corps because I spent some time on MCAS Tustin and MCAS Irvine. My reserve unit used to train at Camp Pendleton. Instead, I joined after my junior year of high school, only one other guy in my class did this, I thought I was one tough dude. While all the jocks were wearing their letterman jackets, I was wearing my shiny combat boots and walking with pride.

    1988-Present Active Army
    Served in the following places:
    Ft. Hood, TX
    First Gulf War
    Ft. Hood, TX
    Camp Carroll Korea
    The Pentagon
    HQ Landsouth Verona Italy
    Ft. Huachuca, AZ
    MFO Sinai Egypt
    Ft. Riley, KS

I will retire September 2009. I would not mind serving more, but I am too old for the British Army and I do not feel like learning to speak French.

    Tornado F3,
Tornado F3 during 2nd Gulf war (I helped launch the first jet to fly into Bagdahd on the night the bombing started, we flew ahead of the bombers to clear the way )

My dad was engineer on nuke subs during the height of the Cold War, grandpa was a bombardier on B-26s during WWII (bombed Omaha beach ahead of the troops on D-Day), great-grandfather was a US Army medic during the Great War, and some ancestors (not quite sure of the relation) served in the civil war and the revolution.

Myself, I haven't joined and don't really intend to. I considered joining the US Navy Reserve, but have decided against it for now (mainly because I'd probably be deployed, and I have an aversion to being shot). Maybe much later, after I'm a priest, I'd join up as a chaplain in the reserve. But not for the foreseeable future.
