It's cool that you got your USAK. I saw that you were having fun at the event.
All that being said, why don't you have a signature, Nighthawk?
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

That's a good question! I've been meaning to, but haven't gotten around to it. I will, eventually.

Well, good luck. I keep coming up with stranger and stranger things in mine.. But I think only two people have ever said anything about mine. I'm thinking of adding I'm the Big, Dumb Bunny to the first line of mine just to see if anyone even reads thos things... I read them.

    I have one now.

Not bad, not bad at all. The truth is usually funny... I like it. Now you'll have to change it because I said I like it, ehh, what can you do.

Eddy would probably like it too... Steve Harris is a genius anyway. Everything else I just wrote is too stupid to leave in... But I am still trying to remember the name of that new guy in the band.

That new guy depends on your perception. Are you talking about Janick Gers, the guitar player? He's the newest member. He joined in 1988 to replace Andrian Smith. Or are you talking about Blaze Bayley, the singer that replaced Bruce Dickinson? Dickinson is back in the band and Bayley is off doing his own solo thing.

Oh, ok, Nighthawk. I thought that Smith was back with them too, but I was talking about Janick Gers. The part of the post I removed was about how the music had always been written, like on paper, for three guitar parts. It was getting to complacated the way I was saying it so I gave up and extracted it from my post. I'm not a fan of Blaze Bayley, and have blotted that out of my mind. Frankly I liked Paul Diano almost as much as Bruce Dickinson... I wouldn't really compare them though, they're both great in their own way.

Smith is back with the band, and has been since 2000. You're absolutely right about their music being written for three guitarists, and they sound much better live now than they ever have. And truth be told, I really like Blaze. I don't think his voice suited the band all that well and Nigel Green was a miserable producer, which were both big problems, but I really (and I mean REALLY!) like Blaze's solo stuff. Silicon Messiah is in my humble opinion one of the best metal albums written in the last 20 years.

Oops oops oops!! Nighthawk, I was talking about Blaze with Iron Maiden. It didn't work for me and I stopped listening. Nothing wrong with Blaze, I just stated that wrong, sorry.

All that about the three guitar parts in the music was supposed to support my point that Steve Harris is a genius... or some kind of mastermind, I don't know! I thought he wrote most of that music then showed the blond guy with the lisp how to play it... Murry?
