    Without further ado

    IT WAS MA KILT!
So here is the unveiling of my grandma tailored Cunningham tank .

Unwrapping like a kid in a candy store!

    the test fit

Yes, I realize I am in pants in the first couple of pics. . . . . Anyway, this post wont get farther than the test fit for a while because well, it didnt fit. That being said, the only issue is the placement of the buckles. Grandma though she had made a booboo and that the kilts were going to be a bit to big so she moved the buckles toward the center several pleats. She actually was right the first time. No big deal though. Rather than send it back and have her fix it, I am going to take it to a local tailor to reposition those buckles. Ok, all that said this thing ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It feels great to wear. I have never had a custom tailored garment before and it fits like a dream. It is a bit long, but I think that is from my bum measuring in the first place. I think it will be fine at this height, but if I grow a smidge it will be dead on. Anway, I could go on raving and raving about how great it is all day. Those of you with tanks custom tanks understand what I mean. Anyway, what do you all think?

    BB,
I am sure you had just come home from work with the package and were still in the trousers that your job requires. There is nothing wrong with that when you are unfolding a work of art that is your new kilt. It looks good on you, I do not know if you could simply wear it about a half inch higher until you grow. It looks great on you. Congratulations.

    Looks great BB!

Would like to see how the pleats look once you have removed the basting stitches.

That looks fantastic. That's a wonderful gift from your grannie. Something to be treasured as you seem to be treasuring it.

I would highly recommend A Perfect Fit, an alterations shop on Sunshine St, near the Plaza Towers. I take all of my alterations to them.

Grand, BB -- just grand! Can't wait to see it at a St. Andrew's function!
