Thanks for that Jake S. We have an expression similar here "Keeping up with the Jones' " which means for example, if the next door neighbour got a certain type of car, you'd have to match it.

We have that in the states too. The type of Jones spoken of here is not quite the same thing. Though I guess I may be trying to keep up with the McMurdo.
