    Anyone familiar with corset-making?

I know we have plenty of talented kilt-makers here; has anyone had experience making a corset for a wife or ladyfriend?

I'm looking for a real corset with metal stays. The material is unimportant, but if it was substantial enough to wear just as a top that would be great.

Let me know if anyone is interested!

I don't think that this ebay seller works with the metal stays...from what I gather, the plastic ones are easier to work with and the most popular right now...but you might find her stuff interesting and the prices seem rather cheap, all thing considered...shipping doesn't seem like too much of a problem, either.

...anyway, it's at least something to check out. I have been hoping to find one of her things for Mrs. Argonian but, alas, corsets are just not her style...

Nice as corsets are, and believe me I am no way shape or form knocking them, they have very little to do with kilts. This thread is not appropriate for the Kiltmakers forum so I am both closing it and moving it to Off Topic.

RL if you want to follow up on cavscout's lead please do so by PM.

    Cheers
