but I really wonder what could make a person hate an article of clothing.
Jealousy?

My dad's got one of the economy SWK's, and he likes it a lot. A good buy!
Well I'm pretty sure I'd hate a spandex kilt!

My friend hates kilts for several reasons, all of which can be traced back to her being a nutcase.
She's called kilts "cross-dressing with an excuse" and says that they should only be worn in scotland. Also, she has an overactive imagination (commercials for horror movies give her nightmares) so I think when she sees me wearing something that's open on the bottom, she can't help but imagine what's up there.
It used to be a big problem that nearly ended our friendship, but I managed to resolve the situation.
Anyway, I did wear the black economy model and it too got a mostly positive response. And one negative response, this time from a total stranger:
For lunch that day, I went with my group to a little mexican place that just opened up, and while we were waiting in the cramped little front room for a table some woman came up behind me and said "Get out of the way weirdo!" and when I turned around she looked like she was getting ready push me out of her way. The guys all started laughing and assumed I knew her, and I just gave her a curious stare. I was honestly surprised as I expect that from some of the college students around here, but she was in her 30's or 40's. I'm not sure if it was because she suddenly realized how rude she had just been to another human being, or if it was the fact that she figured out that offending someone three times her size is not smart, but suddenly she was very apologetic and blamed it on tourettes. I just had a good laugh about it, and gave her credit for using one of my favorite excuses for anything.
