Well, I guess we made it to tomorrow... at least here in Arizona.

Later today, I'll do some mor weed scraping. I need to find my dust masks. I probably would not wear a kilt to do that because I have to creep along on my hands and knees to find the weeds. It does look funny, but I don't really have any other way to do the weeding. No, that wouldn't work in a kilt.

I saw an old thread erlier where there was an arguement about what a kilt really is. And some were saying the UK and so on wern't kilts. That's fine with me. I don't particularly care if my Buzz Kidder isn't a kilt either. I was thinking about it, and it all became clear. None of that matters because I don't wear a kilt. Hey, throw in there my SWKs because they aren't hand sewn in Scotland!

    I'm free! I'm Free! I don't wear a kilt!

I feel a little bit better than yesterday. I guess my allergies had me down, but that's spring. I did notice yesterday that there are buds on some flowers I planted as seed out there while weeding. I think they are California poppies, but I'm not sure. They might be african daisies; sometimes I get the seed packages mixed up and plant the wrong thing. I like the dasy like flowers, and the mums.

I'm also enjoying my new found freedom of not wearing real kilts. It's ok, I don't think I would fit in at a black tie event, and I have no idea why I would ever end up at white tie. I also try to dress well in general when I go into town and so on. The rest of my life is away from situations that it would matter.

Oh well, I will be cooking a chicken breast again for lunch in just a few minuts. Guess I'll do a little weeding again today. At least the weeds aren't growing faster than they can be pulled at this point. I'll get um.

We are having a snowstorm today, and I'm headed home for spring break. Oh the irony. I will be online less, but don't worry about me dissapearing, it's just the dialup.

Ok, String. It's always nice to hear from you in my threads. Hope you enjoy your spring break. Um... probably shouldn't go walking barefoot in the snow, . Take care.

I did a bit more weeding today, but I am going to have to sharpen all my tools. That will be tomorrow's task. I'll have to set up the grinders and jigs and so on....

There is now a picture of me wearing my Buzz Kidder, kakhi, canvas kilt uploaded into the new photo gallery. I don't know how to post that picture into this thread, but I could probably get a link to the address of the picture. If anything this will make it slightly easier for me to get pictures posted somewhere on the forum. The other side of that is getting someone to take a picture can be an issue. I am working on that also. I'll go see if I can get a link.

Here we go, I think this link will get you to a place that showes the picture. I have no idea yet how to get the picture in here.

Ok, I got all three of the pictures I have uploaded to the photo gallery, and here are the links.

It just seems important for some reason to make sure that there are at least links on the record in this thread. As I said, I like that the gallery is part of X Marks, or attached. Guess that will do for now...

Today I need to sharpen tools. I'm still glad I was able to upload that picture of my Buzz Kidder canvas to the gallery. I only had three pictures, but if I get more I'll get them up there and put links. I at least need to get a pic of me in a kilt holding a pichfork or a shovel or something for this thread. I want to get some pics of me standing by one of my giant prickly pare cacti, and maybe by a citrus tree. That will be good.

Ok, I sharpened up some of my tools. One was a square shovel that I've been needing to sharpen for a while now. I took that out to the weeds and it does a good job. It goes dull more quickly than the scraper thing I was using because it's a softer steel, but that also makes it a lot easier to sharpen. I can just touch it up with a file before I use it.

What's going on with all this weeding is that I got rid of all the tall weeds. I'm not as worried about the weeds that are low or spralling on the ground. I do need to deal with them, but it takes longer and they aren't as noticeable from the street.

The way I'm having to get rid of the low weeds is to take the square shovel, turned upside down, and scrape off the top layer of ground along with the weeds. The wider shovel cuts a wider path than the scraper thing I was using.

Also, I'm cooking chicken for lunch again... And the chicken was good. I also ate several navel oranges... and they were good too.

It's another nice quiet night out there... I mean outside my cottage. The forum is the way it tends to be. There's cars way off that make a constant noise and all, but it still has a quietness to it. Almost a softness.

I live in an island of the county that is squeezed between two cities. The cityness has gotten closer, and they have even built a freeway about two blocks away; it runs through a big patch of desert, though. Not to far away, they still have farm land; I hear the roosters ever so often...

It's nice to have a patch of land with some garden space, some trees, a little cottage. Like I said back in the "Cats" post, I came out here after living in a tiny apartment near a university... That was never this quiet and soft.

Those flowers I planted out front haven't opened yet, but I guess it will be soon.

I removed the Christmas picture of me opening a gift while wearing a Buzz Kidder canvas kilt, so I don't have to keep a record of where this picture is posted.
