As i said earlier, i was browsing for tartan,...well, i have pretty much searched the world for what i need, but to no avail.
Perhaps you guys can help?
I have been searching for a perfectly scaled Black Watch tartan fabric, which would have a cotton feel to it.
The dark green band would need to be around 3/8"....or 8mm, and the background would need to be a VERY dark blue.
Does anyone know where i can buy such fabric?
...from the far nw corner of Washington state!
some of my ancestors (O'Mores & McReynolds) came from counties Antrim & Tyrone back in colonial times (1700's).
I recall once seeing at the store collectable dolls that I think were GI Joe brand, and one of them was WWI Black Watch (complete w/ kilt apron).
Other than that I don't know...

((sigh)) Even miniature pipers have to tune their pipes. There's no escape! Hello and welcome Ulsterman! I am very impresed with your artwork as I am a great fan of miniatures. As a boy, I collected G.I. Joe "action figures" and am sorry I didn't keep just one. I had read sometime back that the Action Man (British copy of G.I. Joe) figure had a kilted version, and have been looking for one since without luck.

Welcome,
Guessing you'll be roaming thrift stores looking for an old shirt in your tartans to cut up.

Welcome from Conyers, Georgia in the US. Being a decendent of an Ulsterman, I am glad to have you onboard as well. I have visited you fair city and country on several occassions due to business, and I always found it beautiful and accommodating.
