Good story!
In my experience, sometimes it's the Ladies that become the fanatics about kilt wear much more than the men.
The other night, in Hooters, while sitting there drinking with Kiltedin USMC an elderly matron approached and paid us compliments on our kilts and she was very positive in her opinions. Her companion was, seemed to be, a bit embarrassed that she had the gumption to approach to rowdies in a bar to talk kilts...

My brother is like that (along with numerous other jerks in the family) but his girlfriend loves the kilt and is always making fun of him for being so idiotic/insecure about it. In fact she takes as much pleasure as I do in the shocked stares and insensitive whispers of my less than supportive family members.
Of course in his case it's just sibling rivalry. He was pro-kilt until I started wearing them. He used to wear one himself when we were kids.

I still want to know how Nighthawk got an office.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
