My Dad called it that as well.
I like the driving caps. They are as handy to wear as baseball caps, yet are classier. It's also easy to fold them over and stick them in a coat pocket when you go inside.

I loved those films, and Sellers was such a talent (I love watching him, all 3 of him, in "Doctor Strangelove" -- classic!). What a loss.
You know, I don't recall which one that was from, but I don't think it was the second one.

Ted, found the following titles & descriptions of the films with Peter Sellers as Clouseau. I'm leaving out the others, including Inspector Clouseau (1968) that starred Alan Arkin.
I want to say it was "Revenge of..." that had Sellers dressed as the pirate
The Pink Panther (1963) Although intended to begin a series for David Niven, Peter Sellers is so popular, the rest of the series is shaped to follow Clouseau rather than the Phantom/Sir Charles Lytton.
A Shot in the Dark (1964) Released only three months after The Pink Panther, Clouseau returns to bumble his way through a murder investigation. This also marks the first appearance of both Herbert Lom's Dreyfus and Burt Kwouk's Cato.
The Return of the Pink Panther (1975) Not only does this mark the return of the famous "Pink Panther" diamond, but also the successful return of Peter Sellers as Clouseau (along with Edwards, Mancini, Dreyfus, and Cato). Sir Charles Lytton is portrayed by Christopher Plummer.
The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976) Dreyfus' insanity reaches its pinnacle, and he tries to blackmail the rest of the world into killing Clouseau. Clearly successful critically and commercially, though this film arguably causes some major continuity issues for later films.
Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978) Claimed by some as an alternate to Strikes Again as the "follow-up" to Return. Ignoring Strikes Again, this film brings back Dreyfus and pits Clouseau against the French Connection. This is the last film for which Sellers filmed scenes as Clouseau prior to his death.

Thanks BoldHighlander, they were all good movies. In The Return of the Pink Panther, there was one sene where Cato hides inside of Clouseau's refrigerator The refrigerator is way too small to fit a person in which is funny in itself, but lettus and stuff flys out when Cato leaps out. It's those little things that don't make sense or just flash by that I love.

There's just something about some movies that all comes together, and those are for ever funny. "Little Big Man," and "Something About Marry," are a couple more that come to mind.

I have a brown soft leather buckskin that came from Ireland. It was to replace the denim one that I got in the Czech Republic (Igave the Czech one to an older gent from Czech that said it reminded him of home). I haven't had many things to wear it with, but a good kilt will be a great excuse!!

I have had a couple of leather driving hats in the past, but I have started fresh because all have been worn out. Right now I have three, and plan to have many, many more. I have a patch work quilt like flat cap, a gray Kangaroo, and a brown tweed Kangaroo brand which is in the picture.
BTW,
Is there any way that someone could take this picture and turn it into an avatar for me?
Picture removed and can be seen in the gallery at the link in my signature.
