The preformance won't be for a while. We also have to do Mass in G by Franz Schubert, and the opera will be performed after that.

    And…

I can tell undoubted Raphaels from Gerard Downs and Zoffanies,
I know the croaking chorus from The Frogs of Aristophanes,
And I can hum the fuge of which I've heard the music's din afore,
And whistle all the aires from that infernal nonsense Pinafore!

You missed out the word "very" when titling the topic - don't forget to sing it!

One reason I included the word in the chorus

Absolutely, Sister! That's just what our parents used to ask when we were new in the community. We'd say, "yeah, we're just like the Army."

    Well, be very careful, friend.

One of the local colleges did Pirates a few years back. Right after the big fight scene one of the actors came back on stage and said "Is there a doctor in the house!?" No kidding (How many of us have always wanted to have a chance to say that?).

Seems that the safety tip on a sword came off and the lead got skewered right through the upper abdomen. Luckily it missed vital anatomy and he was OK in a few days, but the understudy had to finish the performance.

In fact, when you know what is meant by "mamelon” and “ravelin”,
When you can tell at sight a Mauser rifle from a javelin,
When such affairs as sorties and surprises you're more wary at,
And when you know precisely what is meant by “commissariat”,
When you have learnt what progress has been made in modern gunnery,
    When you know more of tactics than a novice in a nunnery;
In short, when you’ve a smattering of elemental strategy,
You’ll say a better Major-General has never sat a gee.

Break a leg with a very fun role.

For my military knowledge, though I'm plucky and adventurey,
Has only been brought down to the beginning of the century.

BUT STILL! In matters vegetable, animal, and mineral…

I am the very model of a modern Major-General!
