What is it with you guys posting pic's of yourselves with these lovely ladies?!
(NOT that I'm actually complaining mind ya' )

...oh, for the record, I really do think it's a smashing kilt!
Thanks heaps, BH! It was a beautiful day out, too. The pub is situated next to a driving range and golf course and serves as the 19th hole. A Houston Chronicle photographer was on hand and took some shots of me on the driving range. I used to golf, but quit about five years ago because of my back, of which I was reminded that evening after only hitting a half bucket full.

Very nice kilt Jack. You wear it well and the tartan is gorgeous.

I have a bottle of Lagavulin, but if you haven't tried Macallan, you've missed out.

I agree. The whole outfit is fantastic. I hadn't seen that tartan before, and really like it.

Btw, where did you get the sporran? I didn't understand your description of it.

Thanks for the kind remarks, Galician. Sue Craigie in Florida makes bespoke sporrans. I have four from her so far: 1) The black 'Rob Roy' style (pictured above) that's unbraided along the borders; 2) a tobacco-brown RR that is braided; 3) a larger Laird's sporran in tobacco-brown; and, 4) my badger-mask sporran in the Argyll & Sutherland Regiment style. Her badger-mask is not cheap, but it's the best price I've seen so far.

    Here's her webby:

Much thanks for the link, Jack. I'm just a bit confused. Does she do only fur/mask sporrans? Yours seemed to be just plain leather, but I don't see that in her menu.

Edit: Never mind, I see them under the "Purse" section.

I see what you mean. She tends to play with the website and it's now difficult to find the link to the leather sporrans. Working through the maze, I found the leathers, which she calls, "day sporrans":
