Kilts to me are a Fashion option, not a Fashion requirement

Spot on, Jamie. For some of us, the kilt is not about fashion or freedom, but heritage.
And I'm not ashamed to admit that I like wearing trousers.

Personally, I prefer the look and comfort of kilts. My wife loves me in kilts but likes me in jeans, too.
So while I wear kilts almost every day, I have a pair of camo trousers for cycling to work, two pairs of smart trousers for business dress at work and a pair of jeans to make my wife smile now and then.

Not that there were many people around - but just one would have been far too many.
This is why I also have two pair of cargo pants. I have one pair of nice dress slacks as well. Otherwise, it's all kilts.

I still own 7, but haven't worn any of them since last September.

I still have two corduroys for winter, One jeans for whatever, 2 Black suit pants, and two very light & loose 'pyjamma' style for summer. None of these are worn regularly.
And 26 Kilts. I go 'regimental' in all except the suit pants. So either way I'm comfy. None of the pants are tight fitting, so nothing gets squashed.

for me it all depends on the day and my mood. I have 3 kilts and 7 pairs of pants. kilt wearing everyday gets people (my mother) angry. she just doesn't like how it makes other people take about me behind me back. and I just say, it because they aren't man enough to say it to my face.

I have one pair of white jeans (bought for a costume and not worn since last year), one pair of bib-overalls (not worn for three years), one pair of carhart jeans (not worn since Halloween, I was a Cowboy!), and one pair of dress trousers (not worn in six years). Like James, I am kilted full time and have been for over six years.

I wear jeans for certain activities such as motorcycling or heavy duty cleaning etc.
Pants are something one has to wear as part of the choir uniform for concerts but it's a long time since I last wore pants at anything but such concerts.c

I wear pants on the weekends mostly, since that's when I go home and my mom isn't exactly enthused about my taking up the kilt.
