What a great look with the jacket and waistcoat. I love Harris tweed. My son is wearing my jacket that I can no longer fit into, it's nice that it is still able to be worn. I'll bet you will be able to pass yours down also.

I'm not a big fan of three-button kilt jackets since I don't think they work with my build but I really like the "everyday" look of your set. Very nice.

What kind of build is that Chef? I myself am a fan of the 3 button "ghillie" style jackets, and have one on order. Is there a type of build that these jackets are not flattering on?

Very smart.I particularly like the cut of the waistcoat.For me, a single button would be fine on a kilt jacket and one minor point,I know,but a button hole in the left lapel would be nice.Your family have done you proud.

Just a note of clarification -- these are custom made in the sense that they are each individually made to order in the tweed of your choosing; however, they are made to standard pattern sizes, therefore are not classed as bespoke tailoring. I just wanted to make that clear.

We are able to offer standard Argyle style jackets (i.e. with epaulettes and gauntlet cuffs), as well as the "modern kilt jacket" that Andy is showcasing here (no epaulettes, plain cuffs). One point that I will have to seek clarification on is the number of buttons. Andy's here has three. When I ordered mine from the same makers, it only had one (see the pictures on our web site). Both are the "modern kilt jacket" style. Not sure why the difference -- Andy's was ordered most recently and so perhaps represents the newer pattern. Will seek clarification on this, but in the meantime I suggest that if anyone decides to order, if it is especially important whether you have one or three buttons, please mention this and we'll make sure your jacket gets produced accordingly.
