BTW, Grant I've been meaning to tell you that I really like that full-face sporran that you have for your new avatar.

Grant, I think you and I should go off and start out own Kilt Forum.
No one will be able to post anything. You can't PM anyone, and all the members profiles will be blank. In fact, just last week, I started a forum like this but I kept the URL secret and now I can't find the site again. But hey, no one bothers me with silly demands that I smile.

I know, dear friend. Why can't these meanies leave us alone? Do they not realize that should you smile you're face might actually freeze like that, scaring all of your customers away? "What have you done with Steve? He's been replaced by this grinning robot. Has Freedom Kilts quality suffered because of it?" Blah, blah, blah.

Have they all gotten bored with dicussing the merits of green tights?

This thread has sent tea across the keyboard and monitor. Grant can be made very happy as Steve's kilt(s) have a handy under apron pocket into which you can store a rubber chicken. This way the rubber chicken can perform the desired kilt check, instead of the cold nosed canine variety.
It is through the many different opinions that have been expressed on this board, some coming close to argumentative, with references to the source of the opinions that have enabled me to shape my own opinion. I highly respect everyone here for their honest information and opinion. Some of the information has helped me to again enjoy the kilted life. For many years the only kilt I owned was a clan "tank". I wore it to family events, church, and an occasional dinner event. At a meeting a few years ago, I saw a gentleman in a solid colour kilt. This surprised me as I had only been around tartan kilt(s). I spoke with the kilted gentleman and learned of the popularity of an American form of the kilt. A few years ago I also found XMTS. I had nothing to say at the time, so did not register. I read many a thread on the evolution of todays kilt. I thank everyone who has contributed for their wisdom on the subject of kilt(s). I have on this board found some humour in both what I have read and occasionally in what I have posted.
A slight change to the "Off Topic" forum header. Peace and a rubber chicken too.

    Wow, Alan.
That's wisdom creeping in at a young age !
I think that the main thing to keep in mind is that everyone is trying to do his/her best here. It often occurs that in searching for some relative perfection, the simple good and sweet things are left aside.

So, all the best ! ...and tough luck for perfection.

Amen and I like the differences as well. It is healthy.
Sometimes the yes, yes, bobblehead threads can be a bit much. I like hearing opinions different than my own.
That being said, everyone should feel "safe" to offer their thoughts and feel repected irregardless of how it may be received.
Life is way to short to get bunched up over the small stuff or to take oneself too seriously. Life is serious enough.

    YES!!!!! GREEN TIGHTS!!!!!

Grant, you are young yet. As you age and mature you will realize the pressure put on such as myself, a World Renown Jocularitist. The rabble is forever hounding me for smiles. For grins. Do they not realize the harm this does to the children of this world? The nighmares it causes in our most fragile youth. Never mind the cruelty to poor defenseless animals and pets.
