    Question Considering a Saffron...opinions requested

A question for those of you who own a Saffron kilt:
Is it a color that you wear frequently?
Do you find it to be too bright or "loud"?
Do you consider the color to be most appropriate for dress, casual or either?
I appreciate any and all opinions!
    Semper Fi,
    Keith

I love my Saffron kilt. I don't think it's too loud at all. Mine is a dark burnt orange colour. It looks nice with black, navy, or bottle green jackets/accessories.

I agree with everything said here. Beautiful. The color is not loud, but rich. And as said, it looks great with black.

Honestly my Stillwater Heavyweight Saffron is my favorite kilt for most occasions. I've worn it knocking around the house, to work, to Burns dinner with a kilt jacket (semi-formal), and with a PC Style coat (formal). Kilts in general can be dressed up and down very easily with the right accessories.

Out of my Fraser Hunting, MacKenzie Weathered, and Gordon, this is the one kilt that I get the most favorable comments on.

I have a Saffron Standard from SWK, It's one of my favorite kilts! Whether Formal or with black boots and t-shirt at a punk show, I really love the richness of the color as well.

    Semper Fi Sarge,

I went through the same process and finally decided on getting my saffron from USA Kilts in the semi-trad. I'm glad I went that extra mile. It gets a lot of compliments and for sure isn't too wild. In fact, as you can see from the pics below its practically a camo kilt around the canyonlands.

It goes well with black and green. Imagine other colors too, just haven't experimented yet.

One of the reasons I went with USA Kilts was the teflon protection since its a lighter color and a ding would show. Nice to know it'll just wipe off if it happens.

Thumbs up Thanks to all for the encouraging input!

I guess it's just human nature to ask a question and hope that the answers support the direction you are leaning in.
I'm very encouraged that a Saffron would be a good, strong choice and useful addition to my wardrobe.
    Thanks!
    Semper Fi,
    Keith
