Looking for a Jacket like this...
Is there anyone making this style of jacket currently? Failing that, is there anyone who could recommend a tailor perhaps?
Thanks for your help in advance!

I knew I had seen something like this somewhere.

Wow! Now that's a beautiful article. Wonder where I would wear it though...500 pounds...that's a lot of money...

Yes, it is a bit dear, isn't it? If I had unlimited money? I'd find a place to wear it. But finances being as they are, I'm afraid something like that is several other kilts, accessories, and jackets down on the list!

Ah yes... buy it? Does it look a bit like a costume? Think I'd give it a pass unless you are into the whole 18th century look, and if that's the case I'd opt for something more authentic looking. And a powdered wig...

Does it look any "funnier" than any other Scottish evening wear to someone who doesn't know any better? I think it's quite handsome, and would make a very dressy evening wear outfit, especially with a breacan fheilidh.
Of course, once you buy that, then you need the proper accessories - shoes (http://kiltstore.net/sr_strut_1239?theme=highlandwear or http://kiltstore.net/sr_macfr_glenfi...e=highlandwear), castellated hose, garter ties, and the like. All that will add up to almost as much as the jacket and waistcoat.
Of course, it's all a matter of taste, so I'll shush now.

It appears this may belong to our own Ancienne Alliance. I've sent him a PM, but with the time difference, would not expect to hear back until tomorrow. Thanks for the responses Gentlemen.

Yeah, I've seen the Sheriffmuir, and do like it, but I'm not fond of the tails. I'm looking for something like a Montrose, only open and not as hot. This one in the picture really seems to fit what I was looking for, only I'd like it in a black wool. But thanks for posting that!
