Wee Geordie is on "Brovo" here in Canada every few months, usually in the wee hours of the morning. That's how I first saw it a year or so ago. Great movie (though I like the book better). I might have to order it now!

That's the one I'm thinking, now was that BBC or ITV? Funny the only other movie I ever recall from that age is the Italian Job which was my son's favourite at the same age... "You're only sp'osed to blow the bloody doors off!"
I'm thinking ITV - it was the kind of thing they used to show in the school summer holidays while BBC were showing Flash Gordon and Champion The Wonder Horse
