Let the Jonsing begin? Ferguson Britt jonsing!
So I see people jonsing over their Newsome or Barb T. kilts all the time, and recently I've noticed another sort of jonsing, much of which was percipitated by the recent sale of a few small-cantle fur sporrans. So in the tradition of the Matt Newsome jonsing thread... how about a Ferguson Britt jonsing thread? You can share pictures of your FB sporrans that you already have / own as well (to give us all nice things to look at) if you've already been there and done that.
As for myself, after selling my UK and 2 AKs this week, I placed my order at lunch for a Ferguson Britt natural beaver fur Glengyle sporran with black leather. Man, I just talked with Mr Newsome this morning and placed the order, and I'm already looking forward to it, but Mr. Adron Britt wont even know about the order for a while yet
So, I'm waiting expectantly for a fuzzy sporran! I'm more eager for the sporran than for the IoS kilt that should be comming in 4 to 6 weeks, or the lovat green Lewis kilt hose and purple garter ties I ordered along with the sporran, to go with the IoS when it gets here from Scotland.

Glen,
You have a new sporran, it's all yours.
You know it.
Matt knows it.
We know it.
Now if you can just convince the Canadian Postal System of this you are all set!
Cheers

I also ordered a Ferguson Britt natural beaver Glengyle sporran with black leather cantle - a couple of weeks ago so my jones is in full swing. I can't wait to stroke it, but here's a picture we can jones over together (even though this has a brown cantle). I plan to wear it, not only for formal, but also more casual occasions as well - in addition to my wonderful Thorfinn sporrans.

I just checked the USPS tracking site and it says that my package is in the hands of Canada customs for processing, I hope they get done with it soon.

I'm not just the president of the hair club for sporrans, I'm also a client! (Anyone who gets that cultural refernce watched too much tv in the 90s).
Yes, even as the seller of these wonderful sporrans, I've been on the jones side of things before. Here's mine!
Glengyle, black leaver, natural beaver fur:
All the crap that fits in same:
Here is one I had the talented Mr. Britt remake for me. The cantle is from a sporran that I originally traded for from David Pope, fellow X Marker. I had a Ferguson Britt bag put on the metal cantle, making this a truly unique sporran. (Since taking this picture I polished up the brass, and boy does it shine).
I also wanted a lighter colored sporran, so I had him next make me an Inverarnan style with a lighter brown body.
This one I eventually sold, though, to justify my spending the money to satisfy my longing for this beautiful Bobcat Inverlochy model, which is my latest acquisition:
Did I mention these things are addictive? Seriously, I think my sporran needs are fulfiled at the moment. But if I do get anything new, you guys will be first to know!
Matt

I hope they're not TOO addictive =P This sporran will be the most expensive single piece of, well, anything worn, that I own. (yes, I don't have a tank, but will someday)
Pretty soon you'll be able to tell Xmarkers from everyone else at highland games, ren faires, gatherings, etc because they'll all be the fellows with the gorgeous fur FB sporrans worn over a Newsome box pleated kilt =P
