Yep, a great sporran is a real must, and the beaver is an awsome choice! That's easily the best feeling fur offered (even including the mink, in my oppinion). Also, I think Lamar's sporrans will last a lifetime, no problem. Word of warning though: Watch out for the "Beaver" jokes, as they'll come flying in out of nowhere. I've seen it happen (it's hillarious ).
...great choice though. I almost went for the beaver myself, but the skunk reminded me a lot of some hair sporrans I'd seen, from the 1800's. There's a picture of John Brown and the other ghillies at Balmoral, from 1858, that shows the kind I'm talking about (you can see it on the back of Bob Martin's book, All About Your Kilt, but I don't know where to find it on the web). Brown, and several of the ghillies, are wearing black hair sporrans with two white tassels, that give much the same effect as the stripes of the skunk.
