New kilt and a kilt video
First: maybe some of you know of these videos. Just had one of my lads in the regiment send them to me. A couple of great video on kilt making.

Second: I bought some tartan a few months ago, nice soft wool, a black and dark green tartan....ancient looking. So, this weekend, my wife began the process and I now own a new box pleated kilt. I'll post some photos later. And, just ordered a Newsome kilt, thanks to his advice on the tartan. I hope I'm now in the que! Will also be purchasing a Britt Ferguson sporran. Xmarksthescot is getting me to spend coin!! And, I love it! Slainte' Malcolm

Which tartan is Matt sewing for you, and which style/leather/fur Ferguson Britt sporran are you planning to purchase?

Tattoo: He is doing a knife pleated kilt of "red Campbell". I'm clan Gunn, also dabble in Chattan. But, I'm partial to dark reds and Matt suggested the red Campbell, it is not supported by Clan Campbell, not an official tartan of the clan. But, in a portrait of John Campbell, Chief, about 1735, it shows this beautiful dark red and black tartan. I have a blue tweed Geoffrey the Tailor Argyll Jacket with which it will look smashing (my twa shillings of fashion opinion!). I'm also one to mix and match tartans as the 18th century did, so I have a collared vest which my daughter made for me of several tartans (she is a designer for NY and Co.). And the Ferguson Britt sporran is the duin uarsal (sp?), I believe the smaller size, in black. And hey, DIRK: great Avatar....I am a Guinness believer...along with Smithwick's, those are the ales I prefer!! Malcolm

Those videos are great, thanks!
