    A good quality leather dye (Fiebing's brand is what I use) should work on this just fine. I always use their "USMC Black". After it dries overnight treat it with a leather finish such as SuperSheen (a tandy Leather Co. prduct). This is important as it will prevent any possibility of the dye rubbing off on your apron. Both products would be available at a saddle or leather-work shop, might be had at a shoe repair shop, and are certainly easy to get online from Tandy Leather.

    Good looking sporran
    how do you plan attaching a sporran strap to it?

    That is one of the finishing touches I need to work out. I will probably attach a belt loop on the back. I also need to add a closure of sorts.


    Also, thanks Tartan Hiker for the advice on the leather dye, I will try to get on that soon, as I am really wanting to finish this.
