Hey BB,
That HAS to be the ultimate in kilting. A hand sewn kilt is great. A hand sewn kilt in your clan tartan is even better. A hand sewn kilt in your clan tartan sewn by your grandmother....WOW!! It just doesn't get any better than that.
A sharp looking tartan too. It has similar colors to the Cameron Black and Red. So, if it helps any, here are pics with black, red, and white accessories. I think the Cunningham will work well with any of them as well as the neutral colors like tan and gray...

Thanks, I dont really care for white or cream hose much, and I dont have red so I didnt have much choice but black. I am glad that I have inspired you to carry off that look though, and add another Cunningham kilt to the group!

I considered it but it was pretty chilly out last night and I wanted to carry the sgian that I made. I received the antler from the couple who was hosting the evening and I wanted them to see that it wasn't wasted.

Because I am a lazy louse. Thank you though, your words have inspired me to go out and get some material to make a new sporran. Next stop Springfield Leather!
And to the rest of you, thanks for all the replies. Ron, thanks for the view of the accessories. I am going to have to order some red traditional garter ties and red lewis hose now.
This kilt is awesome. I was surprised that after a whole night of sitting and playing music and chatting that I was still VERY comfortable. I dont think I would want to do that in my stillwaters. Made-to-measure kilts are the only way for me now. . . . geez look what happens when you get spoiled!
Thanks again Grandma!

YOur pleats look good, also. Can't wait to see both my boys, in person, in their kilts. Too bad Ohio is so far away from Missouri. Gramma

Darn!
I guess I'll just have to give my Mother-in-law my copy of Barb's book and then fix everything she ever needs fixed.

Thanks for the suggestion, first time I've tried my Cunningham with black accessories, even the sporran is a black one which I have never worn with this kilt before.

Looks good! I really like that. Always good to see a Cunningham kilt getting some sunlight as well!
