Whip-stitching (like you see on the end of a wool blanket) would work. Otherwise, just leave it. Wool uniforms of the past were often left with "raw" edges, as are many of today's reproductions for reenacting. Wool fabric with a raw edge holds that edge well, and hardly frays at all....

Thanks for the link. I will be sure to order some of that!
Eh, that's a shame... I would have been sure she put that stitch in, aswell.
I don't imagine you'll have much a problem finding a similar or identical product to that anti-fray solution, for sale from a vendor in the UK. When you get some, will you give us a report on how well it seems to work? I've been wondering about that stuff for a while...

Looking good. Very nice kilt. I might have to obtain a 22 oz if we have another winter like this one.
Wear in good health Arlen,

It's unfortunate that she did not just hem the selvage. With a good pressing, the hem would never be seen.

Looks great! Another "pro" vs "con" for my future kilts.

Thanks for the compliment. I like that particular tattoo a lot, though I have many more.
I was not driving a taxi, no. I work for a bank doing night time back office work.
(Basically we correct all the mistakes the day and evening shift made when they started to get tired or whatever.)
I did take the job to get me extra funds and on to Idaho time before I left.
Now it is mostly for the extra money and the nice atmosphere.
Admittedly, there really are A LOT of taxi vacancies here.

Barb has mentioned the same thing. I suspect you don't need to do anything to get the bottom to hold.
Be well,
