I have that 'Oh now!! Snow!!' On Saturday...

It was a decent day in Vancouver and I decided to rode my motorbike around time. I did a fairly long ride and i rode through lots of places. At one point, I thought that I dressed too warm for the ride. The sun was shinning, the birds were singing and flowers were blooming.

Before I left for home, I went to a music store in Downtown for a CD. After I parked the bike, the weather turned cold and the dark cloud rolled in. I know that I was going to be quick as i knew what CD to get. I was in and out for less than 15 minutes.

As I was existing the store, it started to hail!!! I wasn't sure what that was at first. I didn't think it was a big deal. I would just go to a coffee and wait it out. After an hour, the street looked to be free of the white stuff, so I was back on my bike.

It wasn't too bad for the 10 minutes, but when I hit Burrard Street, It was slippery. The hail/snow/rain turned to slush. I was trying to keep my bike upright as I was going to pull off the street. Then my rear trye spinned and the bike went sideway. I have been in lots of crashes before and I knew that I could only let the bike roll under me.

The bike was down and I was surrounded by lots of traffic. Out of the blue, there was a woman wearing her riding gear showed up and helped me to get the bike off the ground from the slippery stuff. She ran into trouble there as well.

We hung out a little as she was waiting for her tow truck. But I chose to wait until the weather passed.

After 30 minutes, Burrar street turned into a river. I decided to get on my bike and headed home. However, the trek home wasn't done yet.

I wasn't overly wet and my jacket shielded me from the element. I was nice and dry. However, my jeans couldn't anything to shield me from the moisture. I didn't think it was bad, until a minivan drove by me. It splashed enough water on me that I couldn't see for a moment. The jean was soaked through and my wet riding gloves was soaked. My finger got cold and turned stiff. I had to find a laundry mart to dry off my gloves...

After I got home, I jumped into the shower and a nice warm shower was so nice.
