Went to that rez years ago. I had heard that the falls had been partially wrecked due to flooding....but glad to see that's not the case.

Yeah, that hike back up to Hualapi hilltop is a bear. And it seems so easy on the way down.....

    You're correct Ozone,

The last big flood did alter Havasu Falls. You can see the difference if you look at my old picture from the 80s and compare it to MM's current pic. Be sure you're looking at the two Havasu Falls pics.

Today, Havasu Falls isn't as broad as it used to be.

Ach, it ain't that bad Riverkilt. The way people described it to me, it was as if the falls had been destroyed. A little skinnier isn't "destroyed" in my book.

Funny, you seem to be lacking kilts in those old photos m'friend.....perhaps a photoshop fix for that?? :-)

AHHHH! I wore my utilikit to a scout meeting and the district rep just happened to be there telling me how I was the worst eagle scout ever and that, "that thing" brings disrespect to the highest to a scout uniform, and that if he had sat on my board of review he would have failed me for wearing a kilt. and that sad part is, that I was wearing scout pants for my board!

Blast, I wish my troop had adults as cool as you! Well, I guess now that I am 18 and an Eagle I have to become that adult! hehe. (oh yes, I will be kilted at summer camp you bet so!)

looks fabulus, the olive drab is practically the same color as the offical uniform. I am not farmilliar with Alpha kilts but I think you can buy replacement flour de les button snaps and if you put them on it wouldn't be all that off from a real uniform!

looks like you guys had a fun time! was it just hiking or were you packing at all?

HAHAHA good luck! I don't think that they exist! now, I have a 1/2 pound sleeping bag thats goes to 0 F. I don't remember who makes it off the top of my head. but if you get a super light bag then you can carry more in an air mattress.
