I'm glad someone brought up the issue of the price of the pins.

Please remember that the cost of shipping is included in the price of the pin.
We are also not marking up the cost and no one is making a profit from this.
I am charging a 10% fee for doing all the ordering, taking the money, and then shipping the pins to the rabble. The rest of the price is to cover the R&D and tooling to make a custom badge.

But just for a comparison I did a google search for other clan crest badges and here are just the first few.

Scottish Lion = $27.00usd + shipping
Border Art = $53.65usd + shipping
Houston Kiltmakers = $29.80usd
British Heritage = $22.00usd + shipping
USA Kilts = $25.00usd
Scottish Croft = $29.95usd + shipping
Highland House = $39.60usd + shipping
St. Kilda = $16.42usd + shipping
Scotch Corner = $27.82usd
Freedom Kilts = $25.61usd + shipping

Quite an eye opener isn't it.

You beat me to it. I was just gathering the same sort of price comparison.

So, yeah, the price is right in line with comparable products.

Count me in! It's my birthday gift to myself. I always get a little cash then, ( I don't need another religious item, my house looks like a church supply store as it is!)

I would like to say that I was witness to the many stages that the pin went through before it was finally ready to produce. Steve's attention to detail and his commitment to getting the final product just right, were beyond compare. All the work done was after spending a day at the shop. Like his kilts, Steve has created a fine piece that would be at home on any kilt or cap. BTW, I'll take at least one!

Steve, I really want one but I just started back on commision again and the next 2 months are going to be hard to get thru as it is. If there are any extras laying around this summer I should be able to take one off your hands.
