You should definitely work with Turpin Ballard/Thorfinn Sporrans. http://www.thorfinnsporrans.com/index.html

His sporrans and workmanship are really beautiful and he has quite a few options to make yours unique. And, for a handmade custom sporran, he's affordable and you get something no one else will have.

Here are pics of the one he just made for me, with its two detachable flaps (one of his unique innovations...)in matching leather and red fox...

And this shall be for music, when no one else is near; The fine song for singing, the rare song to hear; That only I remember, that only you admire; Of the broad road that stretches and the roadside fire. (RL Stevenson)

I got a well made all leather sporran from these guys.

I got the highlander sporran. They're made as you order them, so you may have to wait a couple of weeks. But I thought the quality for the price was pretty hard to beat.

You might take a look at www.rkilts.com. They might not be in your price range but it's worth a look. I have one and have been very happy with the product.

You'll be hard pressed to find a question that someone here hasn't had before (it could happen, but it would be rare). We've all gone through the same things you are, and everyone here is happy to help.

Who knows, you may stumble across something that the folks here don't know about and can point us to something special.
