I seem to remember a decent alehouse in Hampton, but I am drawing a blank on the name. I believe it is in downtown Hampton on King Street.

I'm not real familiar with the area yet. I have heard of a place up in Williamsburg (Pipes N Drums) it looks like there are some pretty interesting choices down in Norfolk and Virginia Beach and Hampton

I missed this, little thread. Funny how that happens I'm in between Richmond and the Burg (ie Williamsburg) right now and I'll try to get on a little more often to see if we get a kilt night together (or, really, if you all get it together).
As for Pipes and Pints. Unfortunately they are now closed which I found out when I arrived there (having promised my two friends it was "definitely" still open) and discovered it empty. The grapevine tells me that the owner thought his upgrades to the property counted as his rent. The property's owner disagreed. Oops.

Innsbrook does have better parking, I can attest to that. Also, I will definitely be at the Irish Festival. I'll be in MacNeil of Bara and since it's MacNeil and they claim O'Neill as part of the clan, it fits with the Irish theme.

There will be some evening festivities, as a trickle-over, from the St.Patricks Parish Festival, that weekend. Maybe I'll see you there!?
I would have loved to meet you in Richmond, March 1, but Wifey had "other plans" for this past weekend....... gotta keep the women-folk happy, don'tcha know!
Let's try for a Kilt Night in Richmond, in June or July! Sure would be better for me!! This spring is really booked solid, around Dinwiddie!!

I could possibly make it to something in June or July, but one weekend in June is usually reserved for attending the Potomac Celtic Festival in Leesburg, and of course, one Wednesday for the pork festival in Emporia.

For the record I did; I've published an account of my harrowing adventure called "There and Back Again: A Kiltie's Tale". Barnes and Noble should have it in stock soon. Mandatory summer reading!
