Hawaii Scottish Festival & Highland Games
We had a great weekend here in Waikiki. There was lots of fun that started Friday with a Ceilidh /beer & whiskey tasting with plenty of Hagis and Bangers to be had. Saturday was a wonderful day with plenty of Bagpipes, Dancers, Competetors, Vendors,& Celtic Bands. I spent most of the day in the Heritage/Clan tent meeting lots of visitors. Sunday was alot of the same with the addition of more bands and displays and my 2 youngest sons won the Kilted Mile race coming in 1st & 3rd. Only in Hawaii could you be at a park with the Highland Games, Hula, Lacrosse, Cricket, Kung Fu and Runners all using the same park at the same time.

The lads look like they're having a good time! I'm definitely taking a lightweight kilt to Kauai this summer.

Its hard to tell, because there was a constant stream of visitors from Waikiki beach right across the street, but over the weekend probably upwards of2,000 not including the 300 clan members, society members, dance and games competitors, bands, pipe & drum, Marine & Army bands, Honor Guards and vendors.
