Help. Looking for specific kilt maker from Highland Games
Here at the Highland Games in Arizona there were multiple merchants selling kilts. There was a very common "brand" of kilt that was being sold at MANY of the merchant's booths. I ended up buying one from MacKinnon's Kilts for $120, and then found the same one at another merchant's booth for $95.
I'm not upset at all, I should have shopped around more, but my question is this. I love the kilt I bought. It's a Scottish Heritage kilt, polyviscose I think, and I absolutely love it. I wear it all the time now. It's lightweight, durable, the buckles are great, the pleats are great, and it's probably become my favorite that I own.
The kilt maker that made it is probably a mass producer of kilts as they were everywhere at the highland games. I understand they aren't hand sewn and that's fine by me. Does anyone know who makes these kilts, and/or who supplies them online?

Perhaps you could post some pictures, including a shot of the label if there is one, or if you still have the tag a photo of it might help.

If it's the kilt I think it is, that's the Infamous Gold Brothers product. It was being sold by several tents at the Arizona Highland games... had a tag on it that had a purple thistle, and "authentic woven material" and "designed in Scottland"? If so... Gold Brothers.

that's a good idea. I'll do that when I get home. I'm at work at the moment. The tag is still on it, so i'm sure someone will be able to help once I post that.
Thanks McMurdo

Does the label look like this
If so then I do believe it is a Gold Bros. product.

I was just looking at some of the sites online that sell those kilts, and they are drastically more expensive that what I saw and paid at the highland games. Most are charging more than $100 more than what I paid. Either I am going to have to wait for the next Highland games to get the good prices, or everyone online is just jacking up the prices by a lot.
I understand raising prices to make some money, but if the people that I bought my 8yard kilt from can charge $100, why doesn't everyone else that sells the exact same kilt? Or at least within a couple dollars.
That's just messed up IMO.
Thanks for your help though McMurdo. I appreciate it.

I also got one about $110 or so on Ebay about a year ago.; Pride of Scotland included Fly Plaid. Very heavy, well made, I've worn to dinners etc.
