Creepers/ Brothel Creepers with a kilt?

I recently bought a pair of creepers (called brothel creepers in the UK). Do you all think they'd be OK to wear with a kilt? How dressy could I go with them?

Well, sorry,but I don't think they would go with the kilt at any time.

Strictly casual, I think. To my eye, they look better than the running shoes that a lot of people wear with their kilts. Hose up, but don't try to make them more dressy than they want to be.

I wear my pumas with my kilt.

Thing is, if the kilt is going to become a piece of common dress, then it has to be compatible with things like sneakers and such. It just wouldn't do to wear dress shoes all the time, or even boots. These look like they'll do just fine. The fact that they're black is good. It means they won't likely clash with any tartan.

I wear brown grease finished 10 eye Docs for casual. I dont think there are any rules for casual wear.

I think they'd be fine for casual wear. I wore flip-flops & a T-shirt with a kilt last night (piped our annual Haggis Hunt). After piping a long outdoor funeral in full dress on the hottest day of the year so far, I simply couldn't see putting wool hose and all back on simply to go call haggis with bagpipes (I was told they wanted me to pipe behind the hearse to the cemetery, with everyone to walk behind me. Precisely one person walked; the guy with the bagpipe, and that at the double-quick, to keep up with the leadfoot hearse driver. Everyone else rode in air-conditioned cars).

I agree with most other comments - the work, but casual only. I've worn adidas shell-toes with my kilt before. If they were smooth leather they may make ok dress shoes, but those are casual only, IMHO.

Wearing them will depend entirely on the dress code in force at the brothel you intend to creep out to.
