Although I live in the San Fernando Valley (just outside Los Angeles) , only once have I seen a kilt, and that was a young Punk guy, all pierced,branded & tattooed in a black leather studded kilt. He was a really nice young man and we chatted away happily, I think he said he was visiting from Long Beach.
Otherwise, I am the only Kiltie "out of the closet" at least in the San Fernando Valley. Maybe there are others, but I've never seen them (perhapd they just wear them at home?). Of course I don't get out much at night, just once a week.
