Sweeping your pleats

Exactly how is sweeping done? One-handed? Two handed? Deliberately or sort of casually? Are you trying very hard to flatten and align the pleats before sitting down or just hoping to get the worst kinks out?

Sweeping is usually done casually with one hand to get the worst of the kinks.
