Still not that bad. Especially if it's in good shape.

Oh dear, the news is out. However, notice that this doublet doesn't come with waistcoat.

Unlike the Montrose doublet, the Sheriffmuir is worn open with a waistcoat. Preferably the waistcoat should be the same tartan as the kilt. The tartan waistcoat will be cut to the bias. Even though J. Higgins says this can be worn without a waistcoat, it is much better to have some sort of waistcoat with the Sheriffmuir.

So, one can have a waistcoat made in matching tartan, or just buy a waistcoat to go with this.

Yes, I am bidding on this.

Is it me imagining, or does this person appear to have breasts?

I am wondering if that is the reason for this not having a waistcoat.

Well, if he didn't have breasts, he'd have a large hole in his chest, wouldn't he?

    I kid, I kid.

It looks like the shirt is being pulled taught by his arm being lifted up to rest on the bannister.

That appears to be an affect of the light falling on the jabot such that it is barely discernible from the shirt, and appears to be a peice of the shirt, ahem, “jutting” out of his body.

Another reason to get a vest!

A lot of stubble for a woman, and a very strong chin.
