Sporran making
Guys and ladies, i am back from the sandbox and looking to get back into the kilt thing. I have several pelts, to include a bobcat and badger, that i would love to have made into sporrans. As my sewing and cutting skills are weak at best and because the pelts are so beautiful, i do not want to risk ruining them with my ham fisted skills. Question, do any of you have links to persons with the skills to accomplish this? Thanks for your help.

I make sporrans, but I have never done one in fur before. I would not want my first attempt to be on your sporrans. However, I would reccomend talking to Turpin of Thorfinn sporrans. He does some good work. There are others out there as well that can do hair on sporrans and I am sure they will chime in.

I too would recommend Turpin.

Welcome Home
Now pour the sand out of your boots, toss off those BDUs, put on a kilt, prop your feet up, relax and enjoy a cold one!
Thank you for your service.

Keith

And this shall be for music, when no one else is near; The fine song for singing, the rare song to hear; That only I remember, that only you admire; Of the broad road that stretches and the roadside fire. (RL Stevenson)

The gentleman who makes our Ferguson Britt sporrans will work with your own supplied fur, assuming it's good quality.

If you let us know what style of sporran you are looking for I can contact him for a price quote on the job.
