    Ron,

I got to try one on when I modelled it for a friend's website. I liked how small a package it folded up to. Just the thing to take with you when the weather is uncertain. I would have bought it myself but it the one large he had was just a tad too big for me it was a clearance item for him).

    Look forward to the pictures.

    Cheers

    Thumbs up

I bought one at Geoffrey (Tailor) in Edinburgh last summer. It's perfect for keeping the rain out. I can even put my messenger bag on my shoulder under the cape and keep it dry as well.

Well, this is the Ultimate model, the one like the one the pipers buy but without the non-slip patch for the bagpipe bag. It didn't come in a pouch.

It has two big outside pockets and the inside drumstick pocket. Its 100% cotton but bonded or something, very very tightly woven. Has a couple snaps on the shoulders that threw me. Mr. Antony emailed back they're to snap the bottom ends of the cape to...for pipers...to have room to play. And there are arm straps on the cape to keep it from flying away in the wind. The back collar is very high...a great wind stop. No hood, but the back collar would come up under any hat.

This isn't the more common BandSpec cape which is polyesther and has the non-slip patch deal for the pipe bag. I wanted to buy the Ultimate Cape stateside but couldn't find it. Someone suggested I email Mr. Antony for a stateside dealer but he had none for the Ultimate. But six days by mail ain't bad at all and there was no rush for it.

Just something I wanted to add while I had some tax refund money.

    Pics this weekend hopefully.

Is there a web site for these? I know I could use one at the Estes Park games. It has rained every year I've been working there.

Oddly enough, I borrowed my son's cape a couple of weeks ago (it's not nearly as nice as Mr. Antony's!) and really liked it. Being the do-it-yourself type I decided that this would be a good project for this summer when my time is a bit more free.

Does anyone have any suggestions as a good (and available) material for this? Wool would be neat, but heavy and not exactly "packable." I have no idea where to find "double layer" cotton that is waterproof. This must be the specialty item of the century!

    Any suggestions appreciated!
