There are rules that you MUST obey prior to even thinking about ordering a badge.

    1) You MUST have a Kilt.
    or
    2) You MUST know someone who has a Kilt.
    or
    3) You MUST have heard of a Kilt before.
    or
    4) You MUST be able to identify a Kilt 2 out of 3 times without using the book.
    or
    5) You MUST have a cap.
    or
    6) You MUST like the look of bright shiny things.
    or
    7) You MUST have a fetish for ordering things from strangers over the web.

If you can qualify for any of these rules you too can have your own X MARKS THE SCOT.COM CLAN CREST CAP BADGE.

I'm thinking a nice t-shirt instead of tartan for your next headache Steve. I'm starting to go broke and the thought of Xmarks tartan being available but not being able to purchase any will surely drive me to sell off my kids inheritance!

Hopefully you will be able to recover from this noble undertaking of keeping the rabble happy.

Well, I don't know anyone else who owns a kilt, and I don't own a cap. Otherwise I'm OK then!

OK, where do you recommend I get a cap on which to put it?

Many members have ordered from here and have been very happy with the hat they have received. http://www.glengarryhats.com/

You could also check out local military paraphernalia shops or with some of the sponsors here at Xmarks. I know Kiltstore carries hats and I am sure a few others do as well.

But what if the XMTS tartan was in less expensive poly-viscose?

With an alertness that would shame a colony of prairie dogs, X Markers worldwide bolted upright and started looking around expectantly when you posted that, Jamie.

Let's give the Wizard a breather, let him have a couple cups of coffee and a pipe, and then maybe he could check with Gordon about a run of XMarks tartan in PV.

WEEELLLLLLL, it just happens that I have spoken to Marton Mills about a run of heavy weight P/V. The news was not good. They cannot do any X Marks in anything but their standard 9.5 oz weight.

AANNNNNDDDDD I spoke to Gordon Kirkbright just this morning. He also cannot do the X Marks in P/V but it is due to the colors. His sources do not offer yarns in the colors we require.

He did offer a run in Poly/Wool though. Light weight and almost machine washable.
