A great help page for SCD

I just thought a few of my fellow 'Still just learning' dancers might like this page.
It does a good job of explaining the history of SCD as well as the various figures and movements.
(Ever got confused when the teacher announces 'Set to second lady first corner before the Poussette and Allemande leading to a Full Rondel.'...?)

I've been reading it bit by bit when I've got time and it's certainly helped me understand things a lot better.

My late husband and I used to square dance quite a bit. Square dancing is, as I understand it, derived from the many of the same base sources, but done to 'American country' music. And it uses a lot of the same ideas and moves - a set of four couples that exchange partners to a specific set of directions, the right and left Grand Chain, etc.

I would love to get back into dancing of either sort. Too bad there is almost always an excess of ladies........
