Wondering if this upgrade will allow us to edit posts with photos in them or if that will remain a glitch.
Came to mind since I just posted with a pic and had a typo, but no way to correct it.

 Hopeful.

And of course thanks for all your work and taking the time to learn this stuff.

I use this version at another forum I belong to. I like it.

					Sounds interesting.
I think RiverKilt's post editing issues might be with the dial-up service he uses, and are not related to anything with the forum programming... Just a thought.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

					Huh Ted?
Think not being able to edit a post with a photo in it is a long acknowledged glitch...just hopeful of repair...no clue how dial up could have anything to do with that...??

Oh, sorry Ron. I probably am misunderstanding then. I've never had any trouble editing my posts with pictures in them. It was just a passing thought, and I apologise for posting that.
Reading through the changes, I am wondering what that mouse over attachment feature will be like. Guess We'll see soon. Thanks Mike1 for all your work and for keeping us updated.

Try it now and see what happens. Some prat had the permissions for the House Chairman knackered. I've told Panache, time and again, to be more careful about that.

It's really not hard to catch me wearing trousers, I wear them every day. Well, I am wearing shorts today. But I don't know what that has to do with anything, you lost me with this one.

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner. This upgrade is largely down to social networking functions. There are some other additions, but the primary focus of vB 3.7.x is to promote social networking.

Well, my memory isn't the greatest, but I think this is the first I've ever heard of this alleged glitch.

If you will open a thread in Tech Questions, providing full details of what seems to be happening, I'll look into it.

OK, here's something that is a bit new and different.
If you look at the attachment, you will see the menu that will drop-down if you have Notifications. That information block will now contain more information than it did previously.

Just hover your mouse over the attachment and be patient. How about that? The days of loading another page are gone.

It just shows to go you -
I thought the social networking functions would be as lost on this crowd as they are on the members of my forums. To show you how wrong I was, there are already two, new social groups established.

 Good job!

Heehee I've used these features on another board -- they're great! It would also be a good way for folks like pipers to get together and chat, too... not just area kilt groups.
 Thanks again!
