Wow, fantastic.
I used to work for Smokenders. They had a process. Most importantly is you. It is all up to you. Try this, next time you have the urge for a butt (and I mean a BUTT) take a walk up some stairs. If you are in a high rise, all the better. Set a goal like I can make it up X steps. Count them, set the mark. Next time you have the urge, take the steps. Did you equal or beat your last record? It works, try it. You will be amazed at how quickly you will be able to beat that first mark.
Good luck,
W Cat.

This is really huge, so good for you!
I haven't had the addiction, but my other half has struggled with it for years and has hopefully beaten it this time. You know all the reasons for doing it, so I'll just say include your family in this...make sure they know to praise you and celebrate this with you. And if you slide, don't hide...have them help you get back on track.
Bravo!

Congrats!
As a counselor, I KNOW how difficult this habit / addiction is to break.
Good on ya bother in so very many ways.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Good for you Cat. I last smoked 35 years ago and am glad I quit. Come on out to the Cheshire Cat next Saturday and we'll celebrate you being off the butts.

Go for it cat.I used to be a 40 a day man for about 30 years,it never caused me any problems, yet, but 5 years ago I woke up one morning a gave up.Why?I don't honestly know.Do I feel any better? No! Have I put weight on?Yes!Does it make sense? We all know the answer to that--YES!Think of all that extra money you can spend on kilts.Good luck and when the craving starts and it damn well does,go for a strenuous walk.
