The only thing dumber than someone riding in a kilt was the guy I arrested back in '79 riding his Hog butt-naked down old Hwy 99. Talk about a bad sun burn....

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I'd say I probably wouldnt ride in a kilt either.

That said I have and still do ride in shorts/t-shirt at times, it's my choice and I set my own standards. Anyone that judges me and tries to tell me I should wear this or that is told where to go fairly promptly. Had too many people preaching ATTGATT to me already. Simply advice not asked for. If they enjoy their kilt ride (by the kilts lifted photo it looks like they do) good on them I say.

This answers a question I had. The consensus I had previously seen agrees with most of you.
I can see maybe a Workman's UK on a SLOW ride through a small town, but anything more...

If someone wants to do it, thats their perrogative but I question the sanity of it.

A wreck at that speed no clothing is going to protect those areas. At much slower speeds yes leather or balistic nylon might provide considerable abrasion resistence where as jeans won't. My biggest concern would be having wind catching the kilt causing a distraction to the rider who should be paying attention to all the other idiotic drivers out there (me included).
