You beat me to it. I have a similar hat I wear when I'm out walking the dogs, hiking etc. I think it looks good.

Splash, I have a couple of fedoras but haven't worn them with a kilt yet. Do you have some pics you could post. I'd like to see how it looks. I have a hard time judging by looking at myself in the mirror. Mostly because the mirror keeps cracking

I think this hat would go better with jeans but I guess it's OK for America. If people can wear baseball caps with kilts, you can wear anything !

...and you wear it so well!

I like the hat with your kilt. I definitely don't think every hat goes with every kilt but, IMO, that one works.

I agree. The hat should stay.

I like it and thinks it goes very well with your kilt. I think it gives you an overall "outdoorsy" vibe.

I don't think some hats work very well with the kilt but in the end it comes down to personal preference. I, personally, would never wear a Glengarry or Balmoral hat. Something about the little pom on top just turns me off. With that said, I think a lot of people look very good wearing them because they feel good wearing them. It's just a matter of taste.

That style of hat seems popular. While I can't wear that style, it works for alot of men.

I wear a slouch hat casually with my kilts. I think a tilly hat like that works fine.

Sure thing.... Although this photo is painful as my wifes camera broke right after the shutter click!
