Your Cunningham and green Argyle will not scream Christmas! Your tartan has enough non red colours to compliment the green. I have worn the green with a Stewart tartan. It didn't say Christmas, it said golf before the hunt. (I don't play golf so it was on to the hunt kilted.)

Ok, so here is a pic of what I plan to wear to the wedding. The green argyle and Cunningham do look alright together, though it is not something I would probably do very often. I really need to pick up a charcoal daywear jacket.

Here are some pics of the prince charlie. I am sure I have broken all kinds of laws by pairing it with a regular tie, green hose, green shirt etc. . . but it was really just a mock up to see how the jacket looks with my kilt.

The PC feels a bit too short. Does it look that way to anyone else?

Comments, concerns, critiscisms are all welcome. I mainly am looking for comments on the green argyle outfit though.

The argyle with the Cunningham looks really nice, I agree the pc would have been to much. But to my untrained eye it doesn't look to short to me. Have fun at the wedding.

Perfect with a solid color tie. The diagonal makes me feel.... well, diagonal.

I like the tweed ensemble, particularly how you tempered the green with the gunmetal shirt. I wouldn't change a thing.

Relax, and have fun at the wedding.

    Regards,
    Rex.

The Argyll looks much better and more appropriate for a guest, just something to think about, I always wear a solid colour wool tie with my kilt outfits. The P.C. looks like it hangs right.

I may see if I can find a suitable solid red tie for the occasion. The one that I had got chewed up by a ferret. . . . .

    Lookin' Good My Man

The PC looks fine-- most that I see on XMTS are actually a bit too long in both the sleeve and body. Now you've gotta find a PC waistcoat! The expenses never end...

I think the solid tie is a good idea for the wedding, although I might pair it with a white shirt to give the whole outfit just a bit dressier look.
