Just heard from Robby of the Mudmen, cruise is CANCELLED
I cannot quote his response, but they are not too happy with the promoter

Screw it let's take control of Empire Sandy and go for a cruise ourselves...
Or we can just take Maple Leaf for a pleasurable flight over Toronto, then a practice strafing run over Buffalo

Well there is the Scottish Studies Cruise on the Empire Sandy on the Labour Day long weekend. I'll be going again this year and will let you all know about buying tickets, it really was a fun day.

Go nuts.
(All the areas I'ld be worried about aren't in Buffalo proper.)
So, alternative suggestions for a June SOKS night?

Grand Island could become a Grand Crater then...
Theres always the Hters / Canadian Warplane Heritage idea that was floated around a while back.

That sounds like a good idea, with enough time I could maybe get the day off if we do it on the weekend.

One request though, they allow you to climb into various aircraft which on these warbirds requires some agility and possible kilted exposure, so please warn a guy and be aware of young children and small woodland creatures when scrambling and de-planeing ...

No no no - targeting Buffalo good, targeting Greater Buffalo-Niagara region bad.
But, to show I'm fair, in addition to Buffalo I'll grant you Amherst, Cheektowaga, Depew, Clarence, and Tonawandas.

I'll third that. And there's also the Hters/Niagara Falls possibility, too.

Just a thought... http://www.dunnvillechamberofcommerce.ca/mudcat.html or Facebook http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=12242378103
There is a beer tent by the river, and a street dance on the Friday night. Free camping here... trailer is on site and ready to go!
