Thanks so much for your kind words, X-Markers!
I actually DID receive a card addressed to "Doctor Sister"! I'm content just to be Sister!
For those who asked, the grand tally now stands at: a Bachelor's degree in education (language arts major, social science minor, and "mini-minors" in cultural studies and values inquiry (1997), an MA in educational leadership/K-12 administration (2002), an MA in systematic theology (2008), and a doctorate in education with a concentration in religious education (2008). Now I need a nap!
For what comes next...I just got a call yesterday with a verbal agreement for a job for next year. I hope to sign a contract the middle of next week...when I'm officially "signed, sealed, and delivered", I'll make the grand announcement of where I'll be going and what I'll be doing...it is good, though...I'm excited!

Congratulations, Reverend Doctor Sister! Best of luck on the new degree. And to have done it at the same time you were getting your M.A. in Theology!!! I did that by itself, so I can't imagine how you did both. Your community must have been VERY supportive.
Btw, in answer to a question posed on this thread, in Catholic tradition, titles for members of religious orders are not considered the same as those for the clergy, but are considered a reflection of the lifestyle of being in a religious community. So a friar who was a bishop would be addressed as His Excellency, the Very Reverend Lord Brother (John, e.g.).
What a mouthful, eh? No wonder our good Sister wishes to use just that title!
